Imac Ssd Temperature Sensor Fix

I ve booted from an el capitan installer flash drive formatted the ssd and am installing el cap as i write this.

I currently have it at 2500 rpm which is quiet enough but can i permanently set it a bit lower. Sorry to resurrect an old thread. The imac hard drive has an integrated temperature sensor the imac fans will run at full speed if you replace the hdd without the temperature sensor and or proper connector.
